Usage and Jargon

proactive

What could this word possibly mean, other than that one is in favor of activity?

literally

Although wide misuse threatens to rob this word of any meaning, using "literally" as anything other than a synonym for "exactly" is incorrect.

virtually

almost or nearly.

impact

means strike with great force. Other than football or boxing, it should never be associated with any human activity. Stop using it to describe your social service program (unless you're going around punching out homeless people).

impactful

is not a real word. Stop using it!
